Expert Lecture on “Hybrid
Systems”

On 05/11/16 students of EPE
Dept. got an opportunity to interact with Mr. Krishna Raghavan who has over 30
years of experience in research & development and planning &
implementation of a wide range of RE resources and technologies (Biofuels,
Solar PV and Thermal, Wind power, Small Hydropower and Hybrid Systems).
He has previously worked
as Energy Advisor for Sagamok Anishnawbek First Nation, Ontario, Canada.
(2012-13), Energy Advisor to the Sagamok Development Corporation, Massey,
Ontario. (2011), Technical Advisor to the Bilibiza Biofuels Center, for ADPP
Mozambique (Sept – Nov 2010), Biofuel Advisor to the Fiji Department of Energy
(2008 - 2009) and ‘Head of Renewable Energy Department’, Eternal University,
Baru Sahib, Himachal Pradesh.
His hands-on experience & expertise in
solar photovoltaic systems (power plants and pumps), small wind generators,
hybrid systems, solar thermal systems) & compact biogas plants helped in
better understanding of students in the domain. Mr. Raghavan also has a number
of research publications and workshops to his name in the field of Renewable
Energy.
